Elaine is serving as the Children’s Ministry Director. She has been working in the church office since 2004. She started attending Calvary in 1991 and volunteered in the Jr. High and High School departments for 12 years.  She has a passion for the little ones to come to know Jesus.

Elaine was born and raised in the Bay Area. She came to know the Lord at a very young age in Vacation Bible School at Redwood Chapel in Castro Valley, Ca. She spent her Senior year of High School in Tehran, Iran as her family was on a missionary assignment. That year she learned to depend on the Lord in her very different circumstances of being away from everything that was familiar to her. After Elaine graduated from high school, she attended one year at Simpson Bible College and there she met the man of her dreams. Elaine and Tim have been married 33 years and hope to spend another 33 years together, Lord willing.

Elaine has one daughter and son-in-law and one very precious granddaughter. She also has one son, and a soon to be daughter-in-law. She is so proud of her kids and they mean the world to her.

Elaine’s favorite past times are spending time with her family, going to the beach, playing games and being a grandma! Her favorite color is pink and when she goes to the coffee shop she usually orders a chai latte (cold or hot depending on the season) or an iced tea. She says in her spare time she loves to sew, scrapbook or play with her granddaughter. Her family calls her the “queen of games” because she usually wins. One of her favorite games is Rumikub. Her favorite movies are the kind where there is a princess and a prince and they live happily ever after. Laughter is the best medicine, and a smile will cure anything, but trusting in the Lord will solve all your problems.
