Steve Liparoto

bio_portraitcrop1Steven serves as the Lead Pastor, overseeing the day-to-day mission of the church. Working with the other ministry leaders and pastors, together they create the kinds of environments where others can experience God and grow in the faith.

Steven has dedicated his life to serving Christ through the local church because he believes that God uses the local church as one of the greatest societal influences for good in the world. “I’ve seen communities and neighborhoods change for good when people come alive through Christ and thrive in their faith through the loving and supportive community experience in the church.” Steven’s passion is to see people’s lives radically transformed by the power of God. “I love to see people mobilized in their spiritual journey around the life of Christ.” Steven wants for all people to know the love of Christ and to do the greatest good with their lives no matter who they are, what they do, or where they live. “God has called me to live, love and serve others so they can experience God’s awesome love and strength in their everyday lives. I love the fact that God never gives up on anyone, especially me. He gives me hope for the future and a real reason to live.”

Before becoming a follower of Christ, Steven worked in the natural gas industry as a Construction and Maintenance manager. It was during his tenure there that Steven returned to school to finish his Management degree from Phoenix University. Once God grabbed a hold of Steven’s life, he immediately sensed a “calling” to serve the Lord in the local church. Steve served Pinon Hills Community Church in Farmington, New Mexico for a total of 8 years, the last 3-1/2 as the Executive Pastor before being called to serve Calvary Bible Church in Lodi, California, in September 2007.

“I did not grow-up in a church.” His “outsider” sensitivity has uniquely equipped him to be a visionary and lay hold of God’s vision that the Church can and must work inclusively across generations, developing mature spirit filled missionaries who reach people first in their communities then around the world to make a positive impact with the gospel.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Steven moved to the southwest when he was a teenager. Steven is a graduate of Liberty Theological Seminary. He and his wife Catherine have two married daughters, Rachel and Candice, and are truly blessed with two great son-in-laws, three grandchildren and one more grandson on the way.

“I love being with my family anytime, anywhere, for any reason. I totally enjoy mountain biking. My all time favorite place to mountain bike is in Colorado. ”

“If I could I would live in Buena Vista Mexico along the Sea of Cortez with my family and fish every day. A crazy dream of mine, I know!”

“My life mission is to see thousands of people come to full maturity in Christ and live as modern day missionaries.”
