Friends taking life as it comes…
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.
Jesus speaking in John 15:15-17
Life Groups are communities of friends taking life as it comes. Jesus gave his followers a new vision of a better life, a life that would transform us into amazing people that behave more like him every day. He said we would need each other in this spiritual pursuit. It would be his story intertwining with ours that would cause our growth and challenge us to live out what we believe.
What can you expect in a Life Group?
Friends know what is going on with each other…
It is a safe place to let the conversation roll about what has us laughing, the make or break issues we are struggling with, and the successes that make it all worth it.
Friends share everything God is teaching them…
We intentionally give each other the space to open up about what God is showing us and what he wants us to do to live it out.
Friends encourage you to stay on mission…
Preparation and encouragement are at the core of living as a modern day missionary. This strengthens us to offer redemption and consistently secure the good of the people that God has placed in our lives.
Friends pray together…
God wants us to ask him to act in our world. He wants to open our hearts so relationships become our highest priority, for us to seek His protection, and count on His guidance, so His kingdom becomes a reality.
Friends love each other…
The people that you look forward to spending time with are those that lift you up when you’re down, help out when you need something, and are there to listen when you just need someone to talk to.
