Hearts were touched; lives were changed!

Encounter God – Engage People! That’s exactly what 11 men from Calvary did on their five-day working trip to NINOS DE BAJA OPRPANAGE in El Porviner, Baja, Mexico. Pastor Steve Liparoto, Doug Goss, Ron Hust, Jerry Juencke, Alan McCauley, Sid Miller, Pete Serna, Mike Steward, Larry Wenell, Mike Wenell, and Norm Worthen tiled the floor of a newly-constructed dorm, installed gas lines for heat in the orphanage and repaired the roof.

Praise for their safe travel home and their time in Mexico as they encountered God and engaged the children at the orphanage and the El Porviner community at large. For a closer look at the orphanage, visit Ninos de Baja’s website by clicking here:

Who caught the BIG ONE?

Many thanks to all the guys who participated in our 2^nd annual CBC men’s fishing trip.  While we did not quite fill all the spaces, everyone who went had an awesome time and enjoyed the great fishing, close fellowship, and spectacular weather God provided for us.  Although it was a bit bumpy going out, no one got seasick (at least no one fed the fish), but once we got to the fishing spot it was beautiful.

Everyone came home with full sacks of rock fish fillets – get ready for those fish tacos! Special honorable mention goes to Scott “halibut man” Miller for catching not one, not two, but three of the delicious flatties, and Kyle Smith and Keith Brethovd for their halibut, and to Bret Smith for his huge lingcod.
