It’s the last week to collect school supplies!

CBC in partnership with Lawrence School is coming to the aide of children who do not have adequate supplies to enable them to learn this school year. The Principal at Lawrence has provided us with the following list of supplies needed:

• 1 1/2 inch ring Binders (they are completely out)
• Spiral notebooks with dividers
• Manila file folders
• Pencils
• Glue Sticks
• Dry erase board pens and erasers
• Washable markers, both thick and thin
• Notebook filler paper
• Construction paper

You can bring your donated supplies this Sunday or drop them off at the church office during the week. If you have any questions, or would like to help deliver the supplies (you’ll be blessed with smiles galore!) contact either Elaine Wallmark, elaine@cbclodi.org or Jerry Juencke, jerry@cbclodi.org. Have you seen the CBC Community Garden? It not, you really need to take a short walk to the north side of the property, directly behind the barn. We’re growing tomatoes, zucchini, melons, herbs, squash, and much more. This garden is to benefit anyone! Perhaps you have a friend, neighbor or elderly relative in need of fresh produce. Come on out, pick what you can and deliver the “fruits” to them personally. What a great way to be missional and share Christ with others in your circle of influence.

It was so wonderful having help for our Scholastic Book Fair. We did make a nice book profit. Sorry the weather was so crummy on Wednesday night—it was out of control!!!

CBC AND LAWRENCE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CONNECT:

CBC’s Outside the Gate Ministry Volunteers are teaming up with Lawrence Elementary School to support their staff in providing extra educational opportunities for the students there. Be a part of this outreach team as we work to improve the educational opportunities for these kids.
